July/August Events at the S.W. Smith Memorial Public Library:
- July 25: The S.W. Smith Memorial Public Library will close at 1pm so that we may host our SummerQuest party for participating students! Library services will be available from 9-1pm and will return to regular business hours on Thursday July 26.
- July 26: Book Buddies, 6pm: Book Buddies Book Club meets the last Thursday of each month at 6pm at the S.W. Smith Memorial Public Library to discuss the monthly book selection. Any adult is welcome to join! The July book selection is Artemis by Andy Weir.
- August 9: "Keeping Your Body Safe" Abuse Prevention Program, 6-7pm: Adults and their children ages 3-6 years old are invited to a free abuse prevention program on touching safety by Jill Alane Moore, Prevention Educator at the YWCA in Bradford, PA. Children will be taught that their bodies belong to them and what to do if someone inappropriately touches them or makes them feel uncomfortable, scared or confused. This program is designed for preschool and early elementary age children. Children must attend with an adult.
